Unlike most other 'virtual tour's, which are simply a series of photos of the highlights of a town, this site allows you to walk around the centre of Whitehaven, almost as if you were there. You can see the nice bits and the not so nice bits. No digital enhancements have taken place, what you see is what you get. In order to avoid getting run over whilst taking the photos, most had to be taken in the early hours of the morning. Its not usually this quiet!
At last we have the change over to digital TV. Next I'll be working on more details and information on the existing pages and also making the page more accessible to people with visual impairments by audio describing some some of the photos and adding audio text to the arrows and compass directions. |
